Natural gas flows through our system, doing exactly what it’s supposed to do—heating your home, warming your water, and helping you cook dinner.

Behind the scenes, we work to deliver gas to your home within a safe pressure range.

That’s where our Tertiary Pressure Project comes in. We’re upgrading pressure regulating stations (equipment that lowers and controls gas pressure) to add extra protection against overpressure events (when pressure rises above safe levels), helping keep the distribution system reliable and reducing stress on customer appliances. The work is expected to be completed by fall 2027.

We’re making mandated upgrades to equipment at key points in our system to add extra layers of automatic protection if gas pressure starts to rise higher than it should.

These new safety devices can shut off gas flow, reduce it, or safely relieve pressure before it reaches your home or business. They work automatically, around the clock—including during storms, power outages, or equipment issues.

Together, these upgrades add automatic protection for the gas coming into your home—helping protect your home, your family, and our communities.
