Public Listening Session - Residential - Massachusetts Gas - Liberty

On December 6, 2023, the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU), through its Order in D.P.U. 20-80, announced a new regulatory strategy for the future of natural gas distribution in the Commonwealth. The order establishes a regulatory framework to guide local gas distribution companies (LDCs) toward achieving net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 and instructs that each LDC file an individual Climate Compliance Plan (CCP) every five years.

To engage the public in this effort, there will be two public listening session opportunities for individuals and organization that would like to stay informed and provide input. Both sessions will be held virtually, with a daytime and evening option:

  • Daytime Listening Session (virtual): Monday February 10, 11:30AM – 1PM [REGISTER HERE]
  • Evening Listening Session (virtual): Thursday February 13, 2025 5:30PM –7 PM [REGISTER HERE]
